===== Tips for the headset ===== In VR/AR you use the [[:meta-controller]] or at [[vproduct:room-measure]] the [[:pen-controller|]]. The most important buttons are in VR/AR: * {{https://cdn.vrdoro.com/shared/assets/images/app/meta-icon-no-text.svg?20}} Meta button (flat button on the right controller): Exit VR/AR or configure the product in the browser and go back again * {{fa>bars|MenĂ¼}} Menu button (flat button on the left-hand controller): Help and options for the configurator. * **[A]**-button (in AR): the A button (right-hand controller) to activate object control: press briefly to switch to * Position cross (select axis by pointing, yellow axes can be moved) * Rotation symbol * Object control off ==== Stream to a computer ==== To do this, select 'Stream' via the camera icon in the headset and then 'Computer'. On the computer, go to this URL: https://www.oculus.com/casting ==== Display images/videos from the headset ==== You can display and download your pictures and videos from the headset on your computer via this URL: https://www.meta.com/gallery/quest/ ==== Setting up the limitation ==== For VR experiences, you need to set up and use a boundary. The purpose of the boundary is to prevent you from injuring yourself, for example by walking into a wall. This is because you cannot see your real surroundings in VR mode. Shortly before leaving the boundary, you will therefore be shown something like a virtual cage that marks the boundary. In MR experiences, a boundary can only be created once at the starting point (from v74, see below). This allows the goggles to determine the floor height. After that, the boundary is no longer displayed, as you can see your surroundings. You can move outside the area you originally set up. If you start at a different location, you will be prompted to set up the boundary again. However, as the size of the boundary is less important, you can also have the boundary created using automatic detection. This then looks like this: {{ viewer:meta-quest-boundary.jpg?direct&400 |}} ==== Checking the software version ==== How to check which software version you have in the Meta Quest headset. {{ vimeo>1065855146 }} ==== Setting the tracking frequency ==== The repetition rate for tracking can be set in the settings under 'Motion tracking' under 'Tracking frequency'. A fixed value of 50Hz ensures a stable fixation of objects in mixed reality mode. {{ viewer:edit-tracking-frequency.jpg?direct&400 |}}
