In order to be able to use 3D models with the web technologies of the vrdoro platform on as many end devices as possible, we recommend reducing the models. Reducing here refers both to the number of elements, such as meshes, faces, edges and texturesplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigTexture
A texture is an image that is displayed on the surface of a virtual body in order to change the surface properties such as colour, roughness, metalness, normal vectors and others., as well as to the file size itself. Reducing the number of elements has an impact on the performance of the display on the user's device. With large models, movements may appear less fluid or the device may be overloaded, resulting in rendering problems or even device crashes. The file size, on the other hand, primarily affects the loading times of the displayed scenarios.
The following sections summarise the steps that can be helpful for editing 3D models with Blender. These instructions are not intended to replace the official Blender manual, but only to outline some useful procedures.
