Modes for the measuring points

Measuring points are set with the 'Standard' mode. Another mode determines the behaviour of the measuring points. The following modes are available:

Standard mode

This is the normal measuring point mode. The measuring point can be positioned anywhere in the room and has no effect on other points.

Fixed angles

In this mode, markings are aligned at an angle of 0, 45 or 90 degrees to each other. You need 3 or more measuring points.

The point marked with the green arrow is set to 'Fixed angle' mode. Its point position is then adjusted so that the angle alpha (α) has an angle of 0, 45 or 90 degrees in relation to the previous straight line is formed.

Note: In order not to change the distances between the points too much, the position of the point in front of it is also adjusted slightly. This means that the angles may deviate slightly from the ideal angle values.

Intersection

In this mode, two straight lines are extended to determine a point of intersection. You need a total of 5 points:

  • 2 points for each of the two lines
  • a centre point that becomes the intersection point

To activate the intersection mode:

  • Switch the centre point (point 3 in the picture) to the mode Intersection
  • The position of the intersection point is automatically calculated based on the two straight lines
  • The intersection point appears grey and can no longer be moved
  • The two neighbours are also automatically set to Intersection mode

To deactivate the mode, set one of the points back to the Standard mode
