 +===== FAQ =====
 +
 +Do you have a question? Please do not hesitate to ask: [[mailto:[email protected]|Julia]]
 +
 +==== Is the platform free to use? ====
 +Use of the platform is free of charge for many functions. Some functions require a subscription. This will be indicated for such offers. No payment details are required to use the free services, even after registration.
 +
 +==== Is registration required for use? ====
 +vrdoro is a platform that offers many possibilities, from the simple exchange of panoramic images and the use of 3D models to the creation of learning and marketing content. Most offers can be used without registration. Registration and login are required to manage your own content or to share content.
 +
 +==== Which devices can I use vrdoro with? ====
 +Use is possible via
 +  * Desktop devices and notebooks
 +  * Mobile devices with Android or iOS
 +  * VR headsets such as Oculus Rift or Quest 2, 3
 +
 +==== Is all content freely usable? ====
 +The usability of the content (assets) depends on the respective licence of the content. The licence is determined by the person who makes the asset available on the platform. All assets may not be downloaded from this platform and redistributed on other platforms except by the licence holder and creator of the asset. This does not apply to assets that are available on other platforms where completely free use of the assets - including distribution of the assets - is expressly permitted.
 +
 +
 +==== Is all content visible to everyone? ====
 +The content is not initially visible to others. Resources that are to be visible to other users and visitors to the platform must be published by the user. This means that every user can decide for themselves what content other users are allowed to see.
 +
 +==== Can I post content myself? ====
 +Yes, registration is required for this. You will then have an area where you can manage your content yourself.
 +
 +==== I receive a note about WebGL2. Why is that? ====
 +If WebGL2 is not available, this message appears:
 +
 +//The configurator cannot be displayed without WebGL2 support. Please update the graphics card drivers and try again. You can find details about your device on [[https://webglreport.com/?v=2|WebGL2 report]]//
 +
 +WebGL 2 support may be deactivated when using a Firefox browser. Therefore, check this in Firefox:
 +  - Enter ''about:config'' in the URL line
 +  - Confirm that you want to edit the settings
 +  - Filter for ''webgl2''
 +  - Set the value ''webgl.enable-webgl2'' to ''true'' set
 +
 +{{pasted:20240527-084451.png}}
 +
 +Also check the value ''webgl.disabled''. Here is ''false'' is the correct value.
 +
 +
 +The technology required to display the 3D scenes is WebGL2. This is supported from the following browser versions:
 +  * Chrome from version 56
 +  * Firefox from version 51
 +  * Safari from version 15
 +  * Edge from version 79
 +  * Meta Quest Browser from Quest 1
 +
 +For Android devices, at least the following browser version must be available
 +  * Chrome from version 124
 +  * Firefox from version 125
 +  * Samsung from version 7.2

 +==== Instructions for use with a headset ====
 +
 +==== The product is no longer visible after the VR view with the headset? ====
 +After leaving the VR view, you should reload the 3D view in the browser so that the position of the virtual viewer is updated.
 +
 +==== What do I do if the VR view does not fit my size? ====
 +Calibrating the VR headset ensures correct size perception and ground position in the VR views. With the Meta Quest 3, repeatedly taking the VR headset off and on can lead to the feeling that the floor is too high. The feet then feel as if they are below the floor. This can be checked by placing the hand controller on the real floor. The virtual hand controller visible in the VR view must then also be on or above the floor. If this is not the case and the controller is below the floor, the VR headset (or the Guardian) must be recalibrated.
