Asset types

The assetplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigAssets

All content that is created by users and made available via the platform is called an asset. Examples of assets are

* 3D models * 360 degree panoramas * 3D sets * Textures

The assets are used to create virtual VR content.
types that can be used with vrdoro are described here.

3D models

A 3D model is a digital representation of an object or scene in three dimensions. vrdoro supports various formats for the use of 3D models:

  • glTFplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigglTF

glTF ist eine lizenzgebührenfreie Spezifikation für die effiziente Übertragung und das Laden von 3D-Szenen und -Modellen durch Engines und Anwendungen. Siehe

A texture is an image that is displayed on the surface of a virtual body in order to change the surface properties such as colour, roughness, metalness, normal vectors and others.
  • glb file with embedded texturesplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigTexture

A texture is an image that is displayed on the surface of a virtual body in order to change the surface properties such as colour, roughness, metalness, normal vectors and others.
  • OBJ file
  • USDZplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigUSD

Siehe

vrdoro then automatically converts the models into a glTFplugin-autotooltip__default plugin-autotooltip_bigglTF

360 degree panoramas

Images in equirectangular format are supported for 360 degree panoramas.

3D sets

3D sets are code elements that can be inserted into the scene instead of 3D objects. They are used when complex composite elements that form a unit and should react like a single model are required. 3D sets can contain interaction elements, animations and audio clips. In addition, 3D sets can also interact with other elements in a scene.

Textures
